Full Rear Dormer
Regardless of shape or style extend your existing roof and benefit from extra floor space and additional headroom.
Dormer loft conversions vary from arched, flat, gabled, hipped, pedimented to shed-shaped, with the most room being gained from flat roof dormer lofts. Normally positioned at the rear, the dormer is added on to the roof.
When it comes to choosing your dormer loft extension in London, some dormers may appear more attractive but will have less space than other dormer options.
Each local council will have specific rules on dormer loft conversions, so make sure you check your planning department will allow them. Our builders may be able to advise on yours.

Arched dormer lofts: With an arched roof, these basic dormer loft roof conversions help keep a period look for your home; perfect if you have a victorian property.
Gable roof dormers: Ideal for terraced homes, and rarely requiring planning permission, these add a pitched roof – giving you the most space. You’ll also gain sunlight and storage thanks to vertical windows.
Hip roof dormers: Similar to a gable, it’s different thanks to three sloping planes connected to the centre ridge beam; providing strengthened structure. Space is less, but ideal for properties subject to high winds.
Shed roof dormers: The simplest and most cost-efficient of your choice of dormer loft extensions, it has only one sloping plane.
